THIS IS NOT A PLAYLIST...
IT'S A SPOTLIGHT!

Music is personal. Or at least, it should be...

Right now, too much music is shaped by algorithms, trends, and automation — optimized to perform, not to connect. Songs get skipped, artists get buried, and the human behind the sound disappears. Artist of the Week exists to push back against that.

Every week, I intentionally amplify one (sometimes two) unsigned artist(s). Not because an algorithm decided they should win, but because their music meant something. Because it stopped me. Because there was a voice, a story, a point of view behind the sound.

This project is about real people making real music, artists who can speak to their work and their why, and listeners who still want music to feel human again.

It’s about choosing connection over consumption. About listening — properly.

HOW IT WORKS

Step 1 - The Boost

Each week, I promote an unsigned artist’s video on TikTok for two days using my own budget. TikTok allows creators to boost other people’s content, so instead of pushing myself, I use that reach to amplify someone else’s voice. Artists are either chosen from replies to my pinned post — where unsigned artists regularly share their work — or because I discover a song that stops me mid-scroll. The artist always chooses which video is promoted.

Step 2 - The Radio Feature

The following week, the same artist is featured on Sonic Scout Radio via Audio Underground, hosted by radio presenter Blckjcksn. The platform is dedicated exclusively to unsigned artists and gives the music space to breathe beyond a single moment or scroll. It’s a second layer of visibility, intention, and listening — because support shouldn’t end after fifteen seconds.

FEATURED ARTISTS

This is a growing collection of artists who’ve already been featured. Each one was chosen with intention — for their sound, their story, and the voice behind the music. Take your time. Listen properly.

WANT TO BE A PART OF IT?

If you’re an artist, reply to my pinned post on TikTok and share your music — I’m always listening. And if you’re here as a listener and something moves you, follow the artist, share the song, and support the work. That’s how this keeps going.
